Oblomov, oblomovism, Oblomo
Oblomo borrows its name from the 19th century Russian novel Oblomov by Ivan Goncharov and its hero Ilya Ilyich Oblomov, the laziest character in world literature.
Soon after the release of the novel oblomovism became an adjective for sluggishness, first in Russia and later worldwide.
The Oblomo project re-evaluates inactivity, idleness and laziness in the time of artificial intelligence and robots that heralds the erasure of physical labour.
